Province 1 Chief Minister (CM) Bhim Acharya announced his resignation on November 1 before the vote of confidence procedure began in the Provincial Assembly. CM Acharya fell into the minority from the beginning when CPN-UML split. Meanwhile, on November 2, CPN-Unified Socialist leader Rajendra Rai was appointed as CM of Province 1. A Five-party coalition has supported CM Rai. CM Rai formed his cabinet with five ministers including one minister of state. Moreover, CM Rai has claimed that he will take a vote of confidence on November 12.

On November 1, Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi resigned from his post as per gentleman agreement to hand over to Nepali Congress (NC). In the agreement it had been agreed to power-sharing tern-by-tern. Recently, Nepali Congress leader Jeevan Bahadur Shahi took oath as Chief Minister on November 2. Newly appointed CM Shahi was appointed as chief minister after he got supported by alliances.

Economy and Development 

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has able to spend 4.06 percent of the total budget in the first three months of this current fiscal year 2021/22. Moreover, the ministry has also managed 250.4 million an audit objection balance.

The newly appointed CM of Karnali Province, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has prioritized the road-network connection in all 10 districts over the province.
