Federal Governance: On December 24, the Commission for Investigation Abuse of Authority (CIAA) released 16-point suggestions in its Annual Report 2019-20 and urged the government to increase the salary of civil servants, which helps to reduce corruption. The report also showed that the CIAA received a large number of complaints against the irregularities and corruption from the local levels. 

CIAA concluded that the mostly local levels were involved in the corruption, where most of the complaints were received from the general administration department. Similarly, out of seven provinces, the highest number of complaints were filed in Province 2.

Federal Development: The federal, provincial, and local governments of Karnali Pradesh have jointly invested an ambitious plan  a drinking water project. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 6.67 billion. 

Federal Administration: On December 24, the Province 1 government called the winter session to be held on January 20, 2021.

The provincial governments have been badly shaken after the dissolution of the parliament. There is a high possibility of changes in some of the provincial cabinet as well.
