Crowds of people going for foreign employment are being seen at the Tribhuvan International Airport in recent days as the vaccination and certification task accelerated. People leaving for foreign countries must have mandatory vaccinations.

Nepal Tourism Board in collaboration with UNDP will provide short term employment to around 5,000 workers from the tourism sector who have lost their jobs during the pandemic.

Two 19-year old boys were arrested for murdering a 14 years old girl. After the investigation, the police report showed that the victim was in a relationship with one of them.

A 45-year old man was arrested for murdering a 17-year old girl after raping her. The body of the victim was found in a rotten condition at Kaski.

The education of school children was severely affected due to the pandemic. Students from rural areas are facing problems due to the inaccessibility to the virtual classes whereas students from urban areas are still not comfortable with the online classes.

Around 14,000 Nepali are believed to be stuck in the war-torn Afghanistan after evacuating 770 Nepalis after the Taliban takeover. Nepal Embassy in New Delhi is currently dealing with the situation but due to the lack of data on undocumented workers, the evacuation might face complications.
