Nepal has been elected a member of four UN bodies, the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the UN Commission on Narcotics (CND), the UN Commission on Population and Development (CPD), and the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD).

India has conveyed to independent electricity producers that they must guarantee no Chinese involvement, including Chinese investment or projects built by Chinese contractors in their hydroelectricity projects while selling it in India’s power exchange market. As per a senior official of the Nepal Electricity Authority, the endeavors to trade electricity from Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower failed due to Chinese engagement.

The population of Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura has been included in the census of 2078 BS.

1.6 million Doses out of 4 million doses of Moderna vaccines purchased with the financial assistance of the World Bank have arrived in Nepal. The vaccine will be given to people of the age group of 12 to 17 years
