China’s responds to Nepal’s changing regime

China is keeping close tracks of Nepal’s changing domestic political scenario. Since, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has split and Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) is no longer in power and on the brink of breaking vertically, Chinese Media has clinched that Nepal’s current government is ‘pro-India’.

EU to provide 200 million vaccines by 2021 to developing countries including Nepal

The European Union has committed to provide over 200 million doses of COVID- 19 vaccines to low and middle-income countries, incorporating Nepal by the end of 2021. The vaccines will be provided mostly through the COVAX facility.

8 lakhs doses of vaccines reached Nepal from China

8 lakh doses of Vero cell vaccine have reached Nepal from China on July 23.

Australian envoy and Japanese envoy met PM Deuba

Australian envoy and Japanese envoy to Nepal separately met PM Deuba at Prime Minister Quarter. In the meeting Japanese envoy informed that there are efforts being made to bring vaccines to Nepal as promptly as possible. Japan had previously announced to provide 1.6 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Nepal through COVAX facility. In the meeting PM expressed gratitude to japan for the vaccine cooperation and other support in fighting COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, various aspects of Nepal-Australia ties along with cooperation to fight the pandemic were discussed in the meeting with Australian envoy.

Israel to provide 1000 jobs to Nepali

Department of Foreign Employment issued a notice stating that Israel has opened vacancies seeking 700 females and 300 males to work as caregivers and interest individuals may apply within 21 days through online portal of the department on July 27. Government to government model is adopted for the hiring process.

American Ambassador met Finance Minister

American Ambassador met Finance Minister of Nepal on July 27. In the meeting the Ambassador promised to support Nepal in the forthcoming days. He also stated that vaccine against COVID-19 is Nepal’s priority and America will cooperate and facilitate the import of vaccine.
