Nepal-Bangladesh bilateral agreement: The sixth Nepal-Bangladesh Commerce Secretary level meeting concluded on October 9. The secretaries have decided to sign a pact by the end of 2020 for preferential trade; Nepal is seeking to import goods at zero tariff. Another meeting will be held in November to finalise the list of goods, text of preferential trade arrangement, and rules of origin.

Chinese personnel fire tear gas: On October 9, Chinese personnel fired tear gas at the Nepali team in Humla. The incident took place while the Nepalis were monitoring the border pillar at the Namkha rural municipality.
