Nepal will receive 5.9 million doses of the Vero Cell vaccine through the COVAX facility at the beginning of November. COVAX has also committed to giving 13 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Nepal.

China is providing 1 million doses of the Sino Vac Cocid-19 vaccine as a grant to Nepal. China is also giving 5 million Renminbi worth of medical aid to improve our health system and prepare for the third pandemic wave. Additionally, Nepal Army is receiving 300,000 doses of vaccine from China as a grant. 1.6 million doses of the Vero Cell vaccine are reaching Kathmandu on October 20, 22, and 23.

Prakash Sharan Mahat, party joint secretary of Congress, led a delegation including Udaya Shumsher Rana and Ajaya Chaurasia, visiting New Delhi on October 7. They are meeting BJP’s President JP Nadda, National General Secretary Arun Sign, Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar, and head of BJP’s Foreign Affairs Department Vijay Chauthaiwale. This is a party-level meet as per the insiders of the Deuba faction.  According to Mahat, they received an invitation from Chauthaiwale.

Nepal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs led delegation is participating in a function in Belgrade of Yugoslavia on October 11 and 12 on the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Ministry of Home Affairs wrote to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 4 to diplomatically deal with China regarding the Nepal-China border issues in Humla. The boundary protocol between Nepal and China states that joint boundary inspections must be conducted every ten years. The last joint boundary inspection was completed in 2006. Jaya Narayan Acharya said that there requires a joint inspection and detailed study to establish encroachment.
