On December 12, 2024, the Centre for Social Innovation and Foreign Policy (CESIF) organized a discussion program titled “Sri Lanka in the Indo-Pacific: Navigating Geopolitical Challenges” at the CESIF Premises.

The event featured Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja, a respected international development expert, policy advisor, and researcher. Dr. Wignaraja currently serves as a Senior Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London, a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) at the National University of Singapore, and a member of the Monetary Policy Consultative Committee of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. His expertise spans macroeconomic analysis, international trade, regional economic integration, foreign aid, infrastructure connectivity, business competitiveness, and social issues such as poverty and inequality.

CESIF welcomed a diverse group of guests to contribute their ideas and insights during the session. The event served as a valuable platform for dialogue on the geopolitical challenges facing Sri Lanka in the context of the Indo-Pacific region.
