The 13 year old boy got swept away by flood on 20th July, 2023 and three children of the Arghakhanchi district were buried by the landslide on 4th July, 2023. Moreover, as per the report of Epidemiology and Disease Control of 8th July, 2023, monsoon has spread dengue infection in the 66 districts of the country.

To address the problems and issues related to the climate change, SAARC level climate change journalist forum was formed on 5th February. Nepal, being one of the major country to send migrant workers to the Gulf countries has halted the work permit for people seeking to work as drivers in UAE and Qatar due to high number of complaints from the migrant workers. Nepal also had discussions and meetings with the Indian and Chinese officials regarding the power trade between the countries.

Also, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development stated that modernization and superior varieties had led to enhanced productivity in its initial paddy output forecast this year. The month of December also saw an increase in Covid-19 infections. On 28 December 2022, Nepal reported 8 infections. Then, the Health Ministry of Nepal urged the citizens to take booster shots and to follow all the necessary requirements to protect oneself from the virus.
