The Centre for Social Innovation and Foreign Policy (CESIF) Nepal and the Ananta Aspen Centre convened the 2nd edition of the India–Nepal Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi on 17–18 August 2026.
The Track 1.5 dialogue brought together policymakers, diplomats, parliamentarians, and strategic affairs experts from Nepal and India to exchange perspectives on the evolving bilateral relationship and shared regional priorities.
The dialogue featured remarks from Mr. Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; Mr. Munu Mahawar, Additional Secretary, Northern Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; Hon. Vidushi Rana, Member of Parliament, Nepal; Dr. Surendra Thapa, Chargé d’Affaires, Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi; Ms. Indrani Bagchi, CEO, Ananta Aspen Centre; Amb. Vijay Kant Karna, Executive Chairperson, CESIF; and Ajaya Bhadra Khanal, Research Director, CESIF, among others.





The discussions reaffairmed the importance of sustained dialogue and deeper cooperation in strengthening the Nepal–India partnership.
